7th Son on the Native Noise Acoustic Collection

November 18, 2004

Many people consider 7th Son to be the pride and joy of Cape Town’s reggae/ska/dub music scene. The group started out as a 3 piece band with Nic Gaud on Vocals and guitar, Yves Adler on bass and Owen Ingarfield on drums. Various collaborations with other SA bands resulted in the band growing into the current 7 piece machine. The debut album, Suburban Dub and the Upgrade EP are currently available, while plans are being made to release a live album in the near future. 7th Son performed one of their lesser known songs for The Native Noise Acoustic Collection; Reggae Child is a mellow reggae number that adds something really special to the album.
