All Write, Some Talk, No Action

November 28, 2007

I’ll give you words with double meanings
Be brave and confident, hinting at feelings
Through whimsical jokes you’ll never know
This is where true colours show
Moving words off paper is so appealing
But the fear of failing sends me reeling

Your nervous chatter is endearingly cute
But with so much to say I’m practically mute
Let’s chat about music and not make a fuss
About desperately wanting to talk about us
Perhaps we’ll flirt and crack the odd joke
But high expectations just make me choke

Actions speak louder than words it is said
But I can’t get my actions out of my head
Romantic gestures that you’ll think are grand
Like me on your doorstep, flowers in hand
I have nothing to loose and nothing to prove
Yet I freeze at the thought of making a move
