Shadows
August 3, 2009
It is far too dark to hide,
In the shadow of a doubt.
Artificial light can move the shadows,
But darkness is forever,
Growing, seething, lurking in corners,
Feasting on assurances, devouring trust.
Facing the light is futile.
It puts the darkness behind you,
While highlighting shadows for the world to see
Refusing to face the shadows will leave you blinded
Cast into darkness, alone, forever.
