Some photos from the annual cheese rolling festival in Gloucestershire on the 30 May 2011. This year it was officially cancelled due to health and safety concerns, but some die-hard traditionalists decided to go ahead and run the race anyway. Even the rain wasn’t enough to stop it. We made it up the hill just in time for the first race and witnessed Chris Anderson claim the first of his three wins. The women’s race only had three contestants but still came down to a nail-biting finish. It was an awesome experience and a brilliant piece of English tradition to witness.
