The interactive YouTube player has become a common tool for us to promote EPs, albums or mix tapes. Adding internal navigation through annotations adds an element of interactivity and makes the video more engaging.

To promote Elro’s new mix tape, ‘Porcelain Corpse’ I created a video featuring full length versions of all 7 tracks. Kate Brighouse designed a title screen with a star indicating which track is playing before I used iMovie to line-up all the audio with the still images and exported it as a complete video. After uploading it to YouTube, I added the spotlight annotations and put the video live.

The mix tape was incredibly well received and promoted alongside the interactive video on numerous blogs including SBTV.
