Lauterbrunnen – Paris

So now I find myself in Paris where the keyboards are all mixed up so please excuse my atrocious spelling!

I left Italy successfully on my own steam. I managed to navigate a trip from Cinque Terre to Lauterbrunnen (Switzerland) that took about 13 hours and had me travel by Bus, train, train, train, bus and train! lots of fun I must say. The hours travelling alone nade me finally start reading The Da Vinci Code, which I’ve carried around this whole time… The book’s been so interesting and I’m glad I started before getting to Paris, my trip to the Louvre Museum was more interesting because of it.

Lauterbrunnen was really fun. The Swiss Alps are amazing! I went to “The Top of Europe” the Jungfrau mountain, it was freezing but so beautiful. I had to be on the train at 6:50am to get a discount, that was easy! On the way down I hopped off the train and walked the rest of the way back. It was a good idea for the first 2 hours of the hike but after 3.5 hours I really just wanted to be at the bottom! I have some great pics to show for it though. I also visited the Trummelbach falls – 10 waterfalls in side a mountain, absolutely awesome! The rest of my time in Lauterbrunnen was spent hanging out with a bunch of Kiwi’s and Poms, good people.
We had such a good cheese fondue, yum.

Now I’m in Paris, my Busabout adventure ends tomorrow, it’s quite sad and it feels like my trip is ending, but I still have 2 weeks in London and Reading… getting so excited about the festival!

Today I went to the Louvre Museum and saw the Mona Lisa (amongst other spectacular pieces). I also went to Notredam during mass. Then Cahris, the Aussie girl I was seeing stuff with hadn’t seen the Eiffel tower so we went to check that out. Tonight a bunch of us are getting some wine and snacks and sitting up at the Sacre Cour, a beautiful Cathedral with an awesome view of Paris.

Tomorrow I’m off to London.
