The music video launch for Stooshe’s latest single, Black Heart, was a major online event. To increase the video’s reach we wanted to get people tweeting #blackheart ♥ as much as possible.

Knowing how successful Twitter crowds have been for us in the past I came up with the idea of styling one specifically for this campaign. Instead of each person’s profile picture just dropping onto the page, I suggested making a lot of small black hearts drop onto the page to create one giant black heart.

Powster did an excellent job creating the heart collage. Rolling over a small heart shows the fan’s tweet and places their profile picture inside the heart. The campaign drove Stooshe to be the top globally trending topic on Twitter.

A few weeks later the campaign was extended even further when our Head of Digital, Sam Stubbings, came up with the idea of creating videos with some of the tweets. At set times fans were told they could feature in a video by tweeting the #blackheart hashtag. Powster then captured all these tweets and displayed them on videos cut to the Black Heart remixes.
