To promote the new DEVolution single, ‘Good Love’, our head of digital, Sam Stubbings, came up with the idea of the ‘Bad Love’ remix competition.

The guys at One More Tune put Amy Pearson back in the studio to record an alternate vocal track for the single.

I worked with Soundcloud to put a great remix platform together. Their team was incredibly helpful and offered to build the platform for us.

Lee Martin has the coolest title as ‘Experimental Developer’ for Soundcloud. He had some exciting new ideas he’s been working on so he configured a clean and easy to use app to power the competition.

As the project manager I had the subdomain configured and gathered all the assets for the competition.

The competition gained a lot of interest from the remix community and filthy versions of Bad Love quickly started flowing in.

The winning remix receives £500, a Soundcloud Pro account and their single will be released on OMT Records / Warner Music.
